Custom Emblem Products

As with all things custom chrome emblem production in small quantities has limitations. Below are the main limitations:

• The material is flat and consists of a Black Core.
• The surface finish is Brushed and Chrome (technically it's a nickle finish).

Now, We know what you're thinking: I Don't want Brushed. And believe us, we feel you.

Unfortunatley though, it's one of the limtations of production of chrome car emblems & badges at small quantities. If they didn't have a brushed surface they'd reflect just like a mirror and you'd only see the light reflect in one direction; all other directions not showing a reflection at all. For this reason we have made them with a brushed appearance.

We've been in the custom emblem business since 2000, if there was a cost effective way to make Chrome Emblems & Badges without a brushed appearance, we'd do it.

Because the core is black, and we cut and etch through the top layer to make your custom chrome emblem designs, the edges, and the etching will be black. However the material takes paint extremely well. You can definitely paint the emblems & badges once you get them. However is not a service we offer in house.

Unfortunatley we can’t offer any beveling or rounding of the edges either at these quantities.

Our custom chrome emblems & badges are 1/8″ thick. Unfortunately due to material manufacture limitations we can’t make emblems thicker than this.

Also when etching into this material we can only go about .25mm deep. This is to assure that the intgrity of the emblem holds up. We don’t want to make you an emblem that won’t last for years!!

All our chrome emblems & badges are backed with a 3M automotive grade foam adhesive. This adhesive is 1/32″ thick. This allows the emblems & badges to adhere not only to flat surfaces, but also slightly curved or irregular surfaces as are often found on automotive fender panels.

We don’t offer chrome emblems & badges with mounting studs or screws. All emblems will need a mounting surface to be installed on.

Now, We know what you're thinking: I want Gloss Black. And believe us, we feel you.

Unfortunatley though, it's one of the limtations of production of black car emblems & badges at small quantities. We haven't been able to nail down a glossy black emblem material that is truly UV stable. Over time all glossy materials ended us turning blue or brown over time. Our Black Emblem material with a satin finish, however, does not.

All Chrome letters are backed with Adhesive (Automotive Grade). Simply peel and stick.

All the chrome letters we stock are approximately .125" (1/8 inch) thick. The only exception is our Small chrome letters which are approximately .09" (3/32 inch) thick.

Personalized chrome letters are sold individually. They will need to be aligned by hand. However, most the chrome letters are flat on the bottom, so, with a cheap plastic ruler to act as a straight edge, and some masking tape, it will be a simple job to get them aligned correctly.

For custom car emblems, product badging, and license plate frames we have 2 standard product offerings (amoung other special requests). The first is CHROME PLATED Emblems, the other is MOLDED PLASTIC Emblems.

CHROME PLATED car emblems, product badging, and, at times, license plate frames is what you will see for most car emblems on the road today. These are made for the outdoors. Nearly 100% of the vehicles you see on the road use this type of car emblem for their branding. As our quality meets or exceeds OEM standards set by the Toyota, FCA, and Daimler (Mercedes-Benz) Automotive Groups you can rest assured that it will last our car emblems the lifetime of the vehicle. Many times these car emblems are fully CHROME PLATED, and then have the details in resessed areas which are color filled based on the need by the client. MOLDED PLASTIC car emblems and product badging is a bit different. These are made for indoor applications. Some things you'll see made with MOLDED PLASTIC car emblems and product badging are toolboxes, guitar amps, interior automotive use (dashboard emblems, center console badging etc), childrens toys, clothing.. this list goes on. You see these emblems and badging pretty much everywhere and are quite a few products. These emblems are molded in plastic, and then have the details raised and hot stamped (in foil or standard) to give them color. The thickness of chrome plated custom car emblems and injection molded product badging can vary. By default the thickness will be about .125" (1/8 inch) thick. However by special request this can be slightly modified (+/- ~.03").

We can also offer thicker emblems as well and have produced many for clients at their request and design, the only thing to remember is that the tooling and per unit cost will go with up to do so.

All Chrome Plated and Plastic Molded Custom Car Emblems & Product Badges come with a single strip of adhesive by default. However we recommend to all clients to opt for Full coverage (die cut) ahdesive. There is a bit of extra cost for this ($.20-$.37 per unit) but it is well worth it for the strength it provides.

License plate frames do not come with adhesive.

There are many times where a client may have a special request for their custom car emblems or product badging that are a bit outside the norm, or may see other options on OEM vehicle emblems that they'd like to replicate with their emblems. This is Great!! We'd love to help.

We have a number of special request options available, such as custom material inserts (reverse printed lexan, acylic, and reflective material) however on that same note, please remember that there are limitations with all things.
